Introducing Red Turtle

Red Turtle inspires environments.

Red Turtle is the Design Arts company that specialises in contemporary, original Pacific Art.

Red Turtle creates site-specific Artwork for hospitality, corporate and residential developments. Red Turtle also provides Art consulting services, project-management and guides installation of an entire Arts proposal.

All Red Turtle Artwork is created specifically to address the spatial design requirements of an individual client. Red Turtle works with a team of contemporary artists who work across diverse media, with distinctive styles. Thus, a range of media can be manipulated to install ‘art on every surface’, cohesively reflecting a central design ethos - from sculpture to paintings and prints, ceramic to glass works, and uniquely designed rugs, furniture and textiles.

In June 2000, Artist Victoria McAnulty teamed with marketeer Jodi McAnulty to formally establish Red Turtle Ltd. Since 1998 the business had operated under Victoria’s sole direction. Trained in fine arts and commercial design, Victoria has previous experience in spatial and interior design consulting, project management, procurement and FF&E. Victoria’s blend of Art and Design training underpins the unique Red Turtle proposition ‘to create site-specific Art that extends a design brief through artistic medium’.

The Red Turtle ‘site specific Art’ proposition attracts a discerning niche in the hospitality industry - the Sheraton Denarau Villas set a benchmark when it became the first resort of its size in the world to commission a single Artist to specify and provide the complete, original Arts proposal.

Red Turtle operates from Auckland, with a client base across the South Pacific. Clients include the hospitality, commercial and residential sectors, while various private collectors and individual clients in the South Pacific and New Zealand have also commissioned Red Turtle Art. Red Turtle also undertakes commercial, retail and residential design projects on an ad hoc basis.
