‘modpod’, Auckland Homeshow, New Zealand |

In
May 2002 Red Turtle was invited to design a showcase house
for display at the Auckland Homeshow in September 2002.
The design ethos is described as ‘Pacific Rim’
and features visual texture, colour and multi-functional
fittings. Following the Homeshow, the ‘modpod’
was relocated to Matarangi Beach Estates on the Coromandel,
New Zealand. |

Inter-Continental, Wellington, New Zealand – Stage
I |

Commissioned
to co-ordinate and install artwork for two levels of Club
Rooms and Suites, including the Club Lounge. Art collections
included framed limited edition etchings by New Zealand
artist Cynthia Taylor, and reproduction prints of German
painter Dagmar Vogt’s work. |

Naviti Resort, Fiji |

Original
arts installation for the 140 room resort, incorporating
3 original pieces per room. The art collection in each
room includes two framed, original woodblock prints and
a unique sculptural installation carved into 18mm PVC.
In total over 420 original pieces were commissioned. |

Full
refurbishment of the three deluxe Bures at The Fijian
Resort. Red Turtle was commissioned to create original
art collections for each deluxe Bure, as well as invited
to consult on artistic detailing and spatial design of
the Bures. The Art collections include original, framed
woodblock prints and original arts hand-tufted, 100% wool
floor rugs. |
